Amalia Dayan
“For me, the most magical aspect of Lévy Gorvy Dayan is the nearly infinite number of ways the partners’ different expertise, insights, and perspectives can complement and combine… I think the alchemy of our collaboration is palpable. It’s what makes our work exciting.”
Born in Tel Aviv, Amalia Dayan brings to Lévy Gorvy Dayan decades of art market experience, and, a robust interest in, and knowledge of, twentieth-century art. A noted gallerist, private dealer, and auction specialist, she translates her unique understanding of artistic vision and the cultural marketplace into her relationships with collectors, artists, and museums.
In 2009, Dayan co-established Luxembourg & Dayan, a gallery based in New York and London that developed a global reputation for conceiving museum-quality exhibitions and catalogues. While operating the gallery for more than a decade, Dayan collaborated with museums, private collections, and foundations to rekindle interest in overlooked artists, sparking a renaissance in the critical and commercial exploration of their work. She previously held senior roles at Gagosian, Phillips, de Pury & Luxembourg, and Deitch Projects. Dayan received an MA in Art and Business from New York University and a BA in Art History from Tel Aviv University.
